"The moments are all that we have in this life"
My name is Ignamir Martinez, I’m a daughter of IGNAcio and MIRta. I was born in very small town in the country of the “desert, jungle, snow and volcano” (Herrero and Armenteros, 1980,) From where the people is recognized for be happy, dance a lot and an have an arepas in our gastronomy. This country is called Venezuela.
At my age of 23, I decided to put all my memories and traditions in two suitcases. Ecuador, it was my new house for 5 years before I came to Canada my current home.
Now I live in a beautiful place in the middle of the country of maple, hockey, and very cold winters. Winnipeg, the city that looks like an English Christmas movie that I watched when I was a child. Yes! like a dream.
This is my life trip until now and I already learned that the time is so fast and the only one that we have is just moments. The photography gives to me the opportunities go back to places that I have been happy. To remember people with I got amazing moment. The Incredibles second when I got some goals, but specially feel my family with me all the time.
In the past 7 years out my roots, pictures have been my way to feel I have been with my family. That’s why I love make storytelling portrait pictures, because I believe that everyone has many stories to tell and the most beautiful way to show is a good photo. Also, fine art photos are one of my favorites styles that I’m showing in my work.
This is what I would like to make for you. Photography is a mirror of what we were, are and want to be. In addition to always with us as your loved persons.
